  8. The Park is in the northwestern area of the state, near Atlanta. The Park is a short distance off US 41, three miles north of Marietta, and twenty miles northwest of Atlanta.

  11. Open year round. Peak visitor month is April. Moderate temperatures year round.

  14. Two engagements took place here between Union and Confederate forces during the Atlanta Campaign, June 20 to July 2, 1864.
